You can long press tasks in a column to display quick actions in a shortcut menu as usual the only difference from previous versions of GoodTask is that the app no longer uses a three-column layout to display the inspector for a selected task, which is now a pop-up window instead. By default, each column comes with a ‘+’ button to create a new task in that column (therefore matches the properties, whether it is a date, tag, list or priority).
For example, if a list is sorted by date and you enable tray view, GoodTask will create columns for different days If you sort tasks by tag, the app creates columns for each tag, and so on. When enabled, table view takes the sort option currently specified for a list and creates matching columns to display the tasks. Because GoodTask viewing preferences sync between devices with iCloud, you must manually disable settings syncing in the GoodTask settings, if you only want to set specific map view lists on certain devices.

Personally, I prefer to use tablet view on iPad Pro and Mac since the horizontal layout makes more sense for widescreen devices, but you can also enable it on iPhone. We’ve mentioned GoodTask several times on both MacStories and AppStories before For those unfamiliar with it, GoodTask uses Reminders as its “database” of tasks, but it enhances the experience with power-user features such as smart lists, customizable quick actions for task templates, and a variety of display options that can be customized and used per list.
